St John XXIII Catholic Primary School

School Clubs

We are proud to include sports and arts in our clubs, allowing children to explore their talents, build teamwork skills, and express their creativity. These programs are tailored to engage children across all primary ages and are led by our dedicated staff who are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

Breakfast Club - 7.15am - 8.35am

At St John XXIII Catholic Primary, we understand the importance of a nutritious start to the day. That's why we offer our Breakfast Club, a convenient solution for busy parents and a fun start to the day for our students. Running daily from 7:15 AM to 8:35 AM, the club provides a balanced and enjoyable breakfast in a supervised setting.

Our menu features a variety of healthy options to cater to all tastes and dietary requirements. Children can choose from a selection of cereals, whole grain toast, seasonal fruits, and freshly baked bagels. All meals are served with a choice of milk or water to ensure a wholesome meal that fuels the mind and body for the day ahead.

The Breakfast Club is not only about providing a meal; it's a place where children can socialise and engage in activities before school starts. It sets them up for a productive school day, both academically and socially. We look forward to welcoming your child to join us at the Breakfast Club and start their day in the best possible way.

Examples of After School Clubs

After School Provision - 3.15pm - 6.00pm

We understand the importance of a supportive and enriching environment for your children after school hours. Our After School Provision is designed to extend the care and educational support beyond the classroom, offering a range of activities that cater to the needs of all our pupils. From a nutritious cooked meal to wind down the day, to structured time for homework and reading, we ensure that your child continues to learn and grow even after the school bell rings.

Our dedicated team provides assistance with homework, making sure that pupils not only complete their tasks but also understand the material. This support is crucial in reinforcing the day's lessons and preparing them for the next day. Reading is another cornerstone of our programme, with staff members encouraging children to explore a variety of books and develop a lasting love for reading. This fosters improved literacy skills and a greater confidence in their abilities.

Beyond academics, we believe in the importance of play and social interaction. Our provision includes a variety of games and activities that are both fun and educational. This time allows children to relax, play, and build friendships in a safe and supervised environment. At St John XXIII Catholic Primary, we strive to create a balanced after school experience that nurtures both the mind and the spirit of your child.
